Front Square 1

Trinity College, Dublin was founded in 1592 by Queen Elizabeth I, and is the only constituent college of the University of Dublin, Ireland's oldest university.

The buildings in Front Square originate mostly from the 18th century. Front Square itself is a vast open square of granite and brick, cobblestones and lawn and (usually quiteness), the spacious formality of which is unparalleled in the Collegiate architecture of the British Isles.
