On Monday, 9th of May 2011, Dr James Reilly, Minister for Health, officially launched the first results from TILDA.

Pictured above with Professor Rose Anne Kenny, Principal Investigator of TILDA at the Science Gallery in Trinity College Dublin where a series of presentations were given by TILDA researchers outlining the main findings of the first results.

President Mary McAleese Launches The Irish Longitudinal Study on Ageing New Health Assessment Centre & Public Phase of the Study at TCD

The President of Ireland, Mary McAleese, launched The Irish Longitudinal Study on Ageing (TILDA)  Health Assessment Centre at Trinity College Dublin and the public phase of the TILDA study that involves interviewing 8,000 older people over the next 10 years, May 6th last.

 

European Science Foundation Forward Look Workshop

The Economic and Social Research Institute (ESRI) and The Irish Longitudinal Study on Ageing (TILDA) organised a workshop on ‘Labour Market Implications of Demographic Ageing’. This event was held on Friday 14th November 2008 and was organised in the context of the European Science Foundation 'Forward Look' on 'Ageing, Health and Pensions in Europe'.

 

Health in Ageing Conference

The TILDA Health in Ageing - Achievements and Potential of Longitudinal Research was truly an international, multidisciplinary and diverse meeting. It was held in association with Trinity College Dublin, Science Foundation Ireland and the Centre of Excellence for Successful Ageing, St James's Hospital.

Active Ageing Conference

On the 25th of June 2007, the Irish Longitudinal Study of Ageing (TILDA), in collaboration with the Active Social Policies European Network (ASPEN), organised a one-day conference on 'Active Ageing & Labour Market Trajectories'. This conference brought together a number of world renowned experts from both Europe and the US and a group of papers that covered some of the most relevant topics in this domain.
