Graduate Records - Certification / Verification of Qualifications

The Student and Graduate Records Office will certify the qualifications awarded to a graduate by the University of Dublin, Trinity College, as required. This may be done either by

  • Submission of standard pro-forma to the Student and Graduate Records Office, for certification and endorsement with an official University stamp, or
  • requesting the issue of an official letter of certification of qualification(s).

The Student and Graduate Records Office will not certify or verify the qualifications of a graduate to a third party without the written consent of the named alumnus.

Certification of Forms

Forms which graduates typically present for certification include the following:

  • employment screening
  • application for further education

All forms submitted to the Student and Graduate Records Office must be completed in full in advance. The Student and Graduate Records Office will verify, sign, and stamp the documentation. The details provided in the documentation must match the current details held by the University on its graduate database (eg, full name, date of birth etc).

All forms presented by a third party for completion must be accompanied by the written consent of the named alumnus.
