TCGEL Launch

The Trinity Centre for Gender Equality and Leadership was formally launched on 11 October 2017, by Vice Chancellor Mary Robinson.

Trinity Drives Excellence Through Gender Equality

Featuring Provost Dr Patrick Prendergast and former Vice-Provost, Professor Linda Hogan, this video demonstrates the College’s commitment to gender equality as a driver of research excellence, and highlights Trinity’s achievements and role as a national leader in driving gender equality in the Higher Education sector in Ireland.

All changed, changed utterly...

In 2016, over half the students at Trinity were female, but in the 1960s a woman on campus was a rare sight. Women had to be off campus by 6.30pm, there was no maternity leave and chaperones were appointed for the first women scholars on campus. These are some of the memories recalled in this fascinating look back at life for women at Trinity college.
