Patrick J. Duffy photo

Patrick Duffy is Emeritus Professor attached to the Geography Department in the National University of Ireland, Maynooth. He continues to have teaching interests in the historical geography of Irish landscapes, and geographies of colonialism. His research interests focus on landscape history and rural and social demographic change. He is the author of Exploring the History and Heritage of Irish Landscapes (Dublin, 2007) and Landscapes of South Ulster: A Parish Atlas of the Diocese of Clogher (Belfast, 1993), editor of To and From Ireland: Planned Migration Schemes 1600-2000 (Dublin, 2004), and co-editor of Gaelic Ireland c1250-1650: Land, Lordship and Settlement (Dublin, 2004).
