    Darren is Lead of Social and Community Research at TCAID. He has been involved with IDS-TILDA since 2012, leading analysis on the social participation and social connectedness data within the longitudinal study, and completed his PhD on social participation using IDS-TILDA data in 2016. He has also led a range of other studies within TCAID with a focus on social inclusion and community participation, including as Principal Investigator funded by the National Disability Authority and Health Service Executive. He has published and presented many papers on a wide range of topics related to social inclusion and community participation, including friendship and interpersonal relationships, employment and occupation, transport, choice, person-centred planning, and future care planning for families. Darren previously worked for several years in the private and public sector, including research roles with the National Disability Authority and Health Research Board.
