Vision

By 2020, patients, carers, healthcare professionals and service users, representatives from advocacy organisations, and members of the public will be aware of and choose to contribute to research.

Trinity College will genuinely involve members of the public in:

  • Identifying research priorities and asking research questions;
  • Informing the design and development of research programmes;
  • Co-creating and teaming on funding proposals;
  • Contributing to data collection and analyses;
  • Serving on advisory and governance boards;
  • Facilitating involvement in health research, especially to those who have been denied access;
  • Shaping evidence-informed healthcare practice;
  • Acting as ambassadors to disseminate and translate research findings;
  • Advocating for the adoption and implementation of research by policy-makers;
  • Utilising research findings to improve patient experiences and outcomes.
