Expression of Interest to Become a TA21 Mentor
We are looking for mentors to participate in our schools programmes.
By coming on board, you will be part of a community of practitioners who are committed to turning the Trinity Access 21 values into action.
We’re in this together. TA21 brings some of the technical know-how and our experience of working closely with schools to promote educational transformation, and as a mentor you bring your educational and work experience to inspire secondary school students to achieve good results in their school subjects and to aim to earn a college qualification.
Becoming a TA21 mentor is a direct investment in people who face barriers to fulfilling their potential, in society as a whole, and in Ireland’s economic future. Through your involvement, you will:
- Expand your personal professional circle by becoming part of a progressive community network of people working in the education, technology, and science sectors
- Create opportunities among students from under-represented backgrounds for achievement in their school subjects
- Champion positive change in Irish education
- Make a direct and lasting impact on people’s lives.
No experience of mentoring or teaching is necessary but an open mind and the guts to try something different will be useful.
If you have especial interest or experience in Science, Technology, Engineering, and / or Mathematics fields, please let us know.
Comments or questions are very welcome. If you’re interested in becoming a TA21 mentor, or are just curious and want to know more about the opportunity, please get in touch. Please contact Ronan Smith.
