Language & Study Abroad
Junior Freshman (First)
Students in their Junior Freshman (first) year can choose a langauge along with their five mandatory options. Currently French†, German†, Russian and Polish are available.
† Minimum entry requirement C2 Honours Leaving Certificate, C at A Level.
Senior Freshman
In the Senior Freshman (second) year students may choose to study French, German, Polish* or Russian* provided these options have been taken in the Junior Freshman year. A Certificate of Competency is awarded at the end of the year should these courses have been successfully completed.

Junior Sophister
In the Junior Sophister (third) year, students can apply to participate in a Socrates or international exchange to study at an overseas university for either half a year or a full year.
Socrates exchanges are normally in the third (JS) year for either the whole year or half the year and are available with leading universities in a number of countries.
