Dr Ronit Lentin has been awarded Global Achievers Award for Nigeria 2013
In an impressive ceremony on 20th April, organised by Metro Eireann and attended by some 200 Nigerian and Irish people, plus the Nigerian ambassador to Ireland and Iceland and the Nigerian ambassador for Sweden, Denmark, Norway and Finland, Dr Ronit Lentin was presented with a Global Achievers Award for Nigeria 2013. Dr Lentin's award was in recognition of her work as an educator and associate professor of sociology and the founder of the MPhil in Race, Ethnicity, Conflict (formerly Ethnic and Racial Studies).
The evening celebrated the achievements of many Nigerians all of whom are working and contributing to Ireland's economy and society and, as members of the Nigerian diaspora, to Nigerian society and economy.
