Research Interests
Teresa Lynch (Dip. ISL Teaching) was a one of the pioneers to promote ISL in the late 80’s. She is currently studying for her Masters in Deafhood Studies in Bristol University. In 2009, she co-authored an article on the history of interpeter training in Ireland with Dr Lorraine Lesson called ‘Three Leaps of Faith and Four Giant Steps: Developing Interpreter Training in Ireland’, published by Gallaudet University Press.

Teaching/Supervision
Teresa Lynch is a part-time Assistant Professor at the Centre for Deaf Studies, where she teaches Irish Sign Language using a curriculum aligned to the CEFR. She also contributes to teaching Consecutive Interpreting, Liaison Interpreting and Simultaneous Interpreting and has delivered lectures on the topic of acquiring ISL as a first language.
