The Technology Transfer Office (TTO) team includes four Case Managers who manage the Intellectual Property portfolios of the following research areas: ICT, Physical sciences, Life Sciences and Translational science. Each Case Manager has technical expertise in their designated field and a compliment of experience in industry, company formation and technology transfer.
Technology Transfer Case Managers
The role of the Case Manager is to assist with the technology transfer process. This includes:
- assessing technologies for patentability
- capturing and protecting the IP
- determining the market potential of the IP
- commercialising the IP by engaging with industry
- assisting with campus company formation
To facilitate the tech transfer process case managers will issue and negotiate legal documents such as:
- non-disclosure or confidentiality agreements (NDAs/CDAs)
- material transfer agreements (MTAs)
- IP Agreements
- License agreements (Exclusive, Non-exclusive, Option & Evaluation)
The Case Managers are here to provide assistance and advice on all aspects of IP and promote the commercialisation of research.
