• to achieve recognition as a leader in the creation and development of successful knowledge-based companies arising from university research ;
• to encourage researchers spinning off ventures from research and teaching in Trinity College Dublin into Enterprise Ireland's HPSU Programme;
• to widen the development of a formal entrepreneurship training programme to encourage entrepreneurial activity by researchers and postgraduates within TCD; and
• to strengthen and enlarge the TCD contribution to national and international networks of research-linked innovation and entrepreneurship training, which benchmark processes and results.
