Trinity Technology & Enterprise Campus
Strategically located on an island site in the heart of Dublin, the Trinity Technology and Enterprise Campus has circa 16,000 sq.m. of lettable space for small and medium-sized enterprises. The Centre was originally a general-purpose enterprise development centre for Dublin City, under the ownership of the Industrial Development Authority. Trinity College purchased the Centre in 1999 and it is now being converted to a knowledge-based company generation and support facility. The Trinity Technology and Enterprise Campus is an integral part of the research function of Trinity College.
Mission Statement:
- To strengthen the link between technological (and other) research in Trinity College,
- To support the creation new knowledge-based indigenous enterprises
- To develop networks of support for university-led entrepreneurship.
This is achieved through the incubation and development of a stream of high technology companies linked to research groups in Trinity College.
Buildings
- It comprises 16,000 sq.m of space. It has 36 units, which house knowledge-based companies. In addition, the Tower building is a Design and Craft Centre which houses 26 craft tenants. The units for knowledge-based companies range in size from 75sq.m. to 260 sq.m, and are designed to meet the development needs of start-up enterprises.
- The Trinity Technology and Enterprise Campus also has 372 sq.m of bio-incubation space available, funded by Enterprise Ireland, for biotechnology start-up companies.
