2. Photographs
The photograph from your staff card is available on your Research Support System profile, on the top left hand side of the curriculum vitae. You may choose to reveal or conceal this photograph, as you wish. If, for any reason, you are dissatisfied with your photograph, you may arrange for it to be changed. To do this, please go to the Student Records Office and have a new photograph taken. You will need to contact the Research Support System to let us know so that we can complete the process.

3. Data Protection / Privacy
The Research Support System complies with the requirements of the Data Protection Act.

4. Linking to Fulltext Publications
It is not possible at present to link to the full text of a publication listed in the Research Support System. However it is hoped that the system will be developed to include this feature in the future. Meanwhile, it is possible to include a URL on each publication record. Also you may indicate a willingness to deposit a copy of your work by choosing 'Yes' in the 'Deposit with TCD Library' box on the publication record.

5. Printing/Saving Your Profile
At the top left hand corner of the curriculum vitae is the 'Printer friendly page' link. The printer friendly page displays your curriculum vitae in a more attractive way, and strips out the headings for areas which contain no data.

You may save this version of your curriculum vitae to your desktop. If you are using a PC, choose 'Save as...' and the format 'Web Page, complete'. You may then open the file on your desktop and choose 'Edit with Word' to make changes.

6. Exporting to Expertise Ireland
With your approval, certain parts of your profile may be exported to 'Expertise Ireland'. These parts are marked with the Expertise Ireland icon: This icon indicates a section which may be exported to Expertise Ireland
You may find more information on Expertise Ireland here
. 'Not approved for Export' is the default choice in a box at the top right hand corner of your curriculum vitae. You may change this to 'Approve for Export'. Once this selection is made, an 'extract' of your profile will be exported to Expertise Ireland, and any subsequent changes, additions, corrections will be updated in Expertise Ireland also. Only the parts of the curriculum vitae appropriate to an 'expertise profile' are exported - name and contact details, research interests, research projects, publications, languages and memberships/associations. Photographs are not exported.
Additions to Expertise Ireland will usually be visible in that Portal the day after 'Approve for Export' is chosen on a Research Support System Profile.
