Visiting Research Fellow, Sociology
Prior to joining the ESRI, Martina worked in the Dept. of Sociology, School of Social Sciences and Philosophy, Trinity College Dublin. Ranked among the Top 100 sociology departments in the world (QS World University Rankings by Subject 2016), the Department is a leading hub for research. An experienced and award winning teacher, Martina lectured at postgraduate and undergraduate level. Previously she lectured in University College Dublin. A recipient of Research Seed Funding in 2016, she has published book chapters and papers in international peer reviewed journals and her work has been profiled on BBC Radio 4 and Irish radio.
Martina's PhD (Sociology) and M.Phil (Sociology) were conferred by Trinity College Dublin. Prior to her recent study, Martina was Director of Public Affairs in the Dublin office of global communications organisation, Ogilvy. Her clients included government agencies and global brands.
