Sports
Sports plays an important role in Trinity College's well rounded university education. The College has a full range of sports facilities on and off campus. All students are encouraged to participate. The new Sports Centre has a 25 metre, 6 lane swimming pool with a floating floor, a large fitness theatre with over 60 exercise stations, an 11 metre high climbing wall, a fitness studio and a spin studio, sauna and steam room and two large sports halls. Our outdoor facilities on campus include Croquet Lawn, Tennis Courts, Rugby, Soccer and Cricket pitches along with a running track in the summer. Off campus there are extensive playing fields at Santry and the Trinity Boat Club has its boathouse on the River Liffey at Islandbridge.
Get involved in one of 50 Trinity sports clubs. From recreational to competitive, there is something to suit everybody. Sports clubs include basketball, cricket, GAA, hockey, rugby, soccer, swimming, tennis, volleyball and so much more.
The Department of Sport and DUCAC offer a number of sports scholarships for more information, please contact Lucinda Gavigan or phone +353 1 896 1502.
