Trinity College clubs and societies
There is more to the Trinity experience than lectures and study. One of the core elements of student life is the activities organised by students for students. Over 100 Trinity societies, covering a broad range of interests, constitute the most dynamic and active set of university student societies in Ireland.

Student Societies
There is something for everyone. There are societies like the Philosophical Society and the College Historical Society with their established debating tradition and impressive guest speakers, such as Pete Doherty, John C. Reilly, Robert Fisk and Archbishop Desmond Tutu. Others like the Filmmakers Society, Trinity FM, the Trinity Arts Workshop or the Photography Society have their own studios on campus and hold regular screenings, broadcast weeks, exhibitions and classes respectively. You can try your hand at everything from acting to archaeology, politics to paintballing, and singing to sci-fi. You can relax with the Yoga society or de-stress in a different way with the Comedy Society or the Food and Drink society. And if you don't find a society that interests you, you can always set one up yourself!
Life in Trinity
Joining societies is an ideal way to make friends and offers valuable support as well as an introduction to Trinity life. It is often those people that you meet through society activity in College that will remain friends long after you have left.
You cannot miss the array of society stands in Front Square during Freshers’ week, but never fear if you don't make it in! Societies are open to new members throughout the year.
