Mission Statement
The mission of the National Institute for Intellectual Disability is to enable people with intellectual disability to develop their potential by a combination of high quality research, dissemination of new knowledge, lifelong learning and professional training. This will be achieved through a unique partnership involving the Institute and:
- people with intellectual disability
- families and/or carers
- government departments and agencies
- voluntary agencies
- representative organisations
- human rights institutions
