About Us – Structure
Within the Trinity Structure the National Institute for Intellectual Disability is part of the School of Social Work and Social Policy. It is also affiliated with several other Schools that have an interest in intellectual disability and these schools are represented on the NIID Management committee and its two sub committees, the Education and Research Committee and the Policy and Human Rights Committee. All committees combine both internal Trinity members as well as external community members.
The day to day running of the Institute, dissemination of information and external relations is the responsibility of the Director, who reports to the Head of School, School of Social Work and Social Policy. The Director also liaises closely with the Chairperson of the Management Committee.
