Laboratories - Terrestrial Ecology Laboratory

The Terrestrial Ecology lab is a shared facility (Buckley, Marples & Rochford groups) in the Zoology building which has been recently refurbished, it used for identification and processing of samples for animal and plant ecology research, including mammals, birds, insects and plants.  The lab provides a large area of bench space and a dedicated low traffic weighing annex for biomass sorting & weighing, trait measurement and microscopy; and is co-located close to the wet lab which is used for messier ecological procedures.  Other associated equipment includes data loggers, bird ringing equipment, Longworth traps, a bat detector and a 6-point balance.
