Laboratories - Botany Molecular DNA Lab
The Department of Botany Molecular DNA Laboratory is primarily equipped for molecular systematic research.
It has state of the art equipment
for DNA sequencing and genotyping work. It has 4 thermal cyclers, an Applied Biosystems 3130xl 16 Capillary DNA sequencer, standard
electrophoresis gel rigs and a DNA Bank for storing DNA samples at ultra low temperatures.
It also has a cluster of computers for data
analysis. The laboratory is managed by Trevor Hodkinson and Patricia Coughlan.
