Dr. Aedín Minogue

Dr. Minogue is an Assistant Professor in Neuroscience at the Department of Physiology since September 2015 and is Course Coordinator for Junior Sophister Neuroscience. Dr. Minogue graduated from TCD with a first class honours degree in Physiology (2001) and was awarded an Ussher Fellowship to complete her Ph.D in Neuroscience (2005). She received an IRCSET fellowship to undertake postdoctoral research in University College Dublin where she worked until 2009. She returned to TCD as a senior research fellow with Prof. Marina Lynch at TCIN and acted as coordinator for the PRTLI PhD programme at TCD (2014). Her research focuses on the role of glial cells in brain ageing and neurodegenerative disease.
