Faculty Nomination for Appointment Forms
A large number of colleagues (clinical tutors, clinical lecturers, consultants, NCHD's etc.) on our teaching sites contribute to the School of Medicine through teaching and research, but are not employed by the University of Dublin, Trinity College.
To ensure these appointments are listed in the College Calendar, (and if the individual requests), have access to Trinity College Library facilities, email account and an ID card, the following procedure must be followed.
A 'Faculty Nomination for Appointment Form' must be completed in typed format and signed by the Head of Department/Discipline with a CV attached (Nomination for Appointment Form [Salaried], Nomination for Appointment Form [Unsalaried]). Please ensure the correct title is included in the form see Board Approved Document (Academic Titles) . This should be sent by post to the School Administrator, School of Medicine, Chemistry Building, Trinity College for the Head of School's approval and signature.
Once approved it will be sent by the Medical School Office to the Faculty Office for approval and inclusion at the next Council meeting. Final approval is issued by College Board. Once approved the name will be included in the next College Calendar. As the calendar is published once a year only you are requested to ensure that staff listings when circulated by the enquiries office via Mary McGetrick are accurate and up-dated (usually in March/April each year)
