November 2016 The work on the DCE phantom by Silvin featured in 2 national newspaper articles, published on the 22nd Nov 2016 in the Irish Independent and the Irish Examiner. This follows publication of the work in the journal Physics in medicine and Biology.
Sept 2016 Jacinta was invited onto the prestigious "Visiting Professor Scheme" at the Mayo Clinic, Rochester, MN, where she delivered three research seminars. During her time there, she also performed a clinical evaluation of our breast ultrasound training devices and furthered collaborations between our groups
Sept 2016 Silvin published his first paper, on the prostate DCE project, in Physics in Medicine and Biology. Congratulations!
Sept 2016 Silvin won the "Best Poster (Cancer)" prize at the TCD Faculty of Health Sciences Research Day 2016!

Jun 2015 Aoife won the 2015 "Young Investigators Grant ", awarded by the Irish Association of Physicists in Medicine (value: €,1500)
Jul-Sept 2015 Silvin spent 3 months working with our Collaborator Dr. David Smith at Vanderbilt University, Nashville TN, funded by an Irish Cancer Society International Mobility grant
Jul 2015 Aoife won the prestigious "UK and Ireland Institute of Physics Medical Physics Group Postgraduate Dissertation Prize 2015"
