2010 – 2011 Research Fellowships in the Arts and Humanities

 

The Long Room of Trinity College LibraryIn January 2010 The Trinity Long Room Hub will award 12 stipendiary and 7 non-stipendiary Visiting Research Fellowships to world-class researchers in the arts and humanities. We will also appoint one Post-doctoral Research Fellow.

Applicants for the Visiting Research Fellowships and the Post-doctoral Research Fellowship should demonstrate how they would spend their time working one or more of the many rich collections within the Library, and/or collaborating with named individuals or groups of individuals within the arts and humanities at TCD.

Applications are welcome from across the entire range of arts and humanities research, but the Trinity Long Room Hub wishes particularly to encourage applications in the following areas of research: children’s literature; art; the creative arts; creativity and the city; digital humanities; medical humanities; and South Asian studies.

The new Hub building, which will be completed in April 2010

 

Available Fellowships are:

  • 12 stipendiary fellowships of between one and three months each
  • 7 non-stipendiary fellowships of between one and ten months each
  • 1 stipendiary Post-doctoral Research Fellowship. This twelve month position is confined to citizens of the United States of America.

Closing date for receipt of applications: 5.00pm, Friday 15th January 2010.

Successful applicants must take up their awards between 1 October 2010 and 30 September 2011.
