Fit as Fiddles and as Hard as Nails

[29 October [?1915]] My dearest May the Box just has arrived and is awfully well chosen. Everything in it is perfectly as I want it. And the socks are just in time for the ones I’m wearing are going to bits. They are the ones you sent me but I hung them to wear in the fire and damaged them badly. The flag is a ripping one. The pen which I am using is just right. The knife , everything beautifully selected. Thank you awfully dear.
