him as regards Dublin & any new books or anything he had written. The only thing he said outside the sphere of the War was that Dublin was dully but so he supposed were Madrid and Amsterdam. That was rather good, for the rest he repeated much of what I know to be his views on the economic and military sit. I am sleeping tonight for the first time in the deep dug out. It isnt warm but considering the temperature on top is very passable. I have a phone at my bed so that I can lie on peace knowing that nothing can go on long without my knowing of it. How are you today my dearie. I hope well. Stephens says if the spring offensive is not successful peace will come in June. Economically people will have had enough. I think he may be wrong.
