[29 October [?1915]]the motor cars & knowing it to be the King hurried from the scene. Oh My I wish I had such a wonderful lack of vulgar curiosity If I hadnt been in bed as I was (after being on the night runs) I could hardly have resisted going to see what was going on. Just figured it out he felt nothing but simple irritation at the road being blocked for the procession & being stopped taking out his bike to try it.
I dont know what happened to the King, I had heard there was to be a bit of a battle for him to see but it apparently didnt materialize as there was no artillery practically to the head.
I got a break down in a wet beastly night last week due to rather a heavy side slip and had to ride an ordinary bicycle
