also if possible what was their reply to Germany. I don’t mean Lloyd Geo’s speech in the house I read that. I have been reading Land & Water & the New Statesman on premature peaces and there seems a good deal in what they say but it is rather disheartening in a way. For all say it is only a question of time but no responsible person seems ever to venture on fixing even approximately the time. There was a very favorable report on Joe’s book in the NS I have asked olive to send me the book and I hope it will come along soon. Everybody here will be very much interested to read it.
