[?1917] Thursday
My dearest, No letter at all last evening nor up to date have arrived yet. I am doing literally nothing at all day. It is very cold a blizzard & a hard frost and a strong wind. Rather nasty after the signs of spring but yet I think it will get like spring soon. However with a curtain over the door we are keeping reasonable calm. The paper has just come in. Not much news but they are doing well in the East and I hope that will continue. Dearie did I ever say you sent too many comforts. It isnt so at all I am keeping back some for more than ever may they be wanted in the near future. There isnt a bit of news. It seems long enough ago when we tossed up with a penny to see when the war would be over. We tried again the other night and it gave July and Willey to be married in August. That would be the 3 years. Long enough too goodbye Dearie. Do hope a letter will arrive later.
Your very lovingly
Pat
