[13 May 1917]in 123 years. Papa gave into understand that he was purchasing a great watch. As far as I can tell it has kept perfect time up to this. It is within 10 secs of my larger turmipand has been so all along.
Have you bought that present from me for the overdressed and spoilt baby yet? I hope you have. They will let you send me a telegram wont they or rather perhaps let you cause arrangements to be made for somebody to send it for you for you wont be able to be remembering that just then. I think it would reach me earlier than a letter though it would probably take 24 hours at least. Goodbye my dearest for today.
