High temperature again during the night. Told 8 am that I am for the Hospital Ship – 2.30 this afternoon. Wired for my spare kit to get it this afternoon but it failed to turn up. Temp. of 102 and 103 all day. Went down to the Dover Castle as a stretcher case in an ambulance. Boarded the tender at the docks and had tea immediately we got on board. Transferred to the Dover Castle out in the Roads. Got overdose of quinine and put in the most miserable night of my life.
