Welcome to German Literature with Language Pedagogy Assessment

Assessment

All of Trinity College’s Masters’ degrees are by definition honors degrees. According to College regulations, postgraduate degree certificates, including for the M.Phil., do not record grades achieved. They certify that candidates have achieved the required standard. This assessment is based on a standard grading system used by the departmental internal and external examiners. All internal examiners’ marks are subject to the scrutiny of the external examiner.

After publication of the results, individual transcripts (including the average grade) can be made available to students and, if requested by the student, to prospective employers.

Diploma in German Literature and Language Pedagogy

Those who have attended and performed assignments for the full taught course but, by failing more than one module, do not qualify for the dissertation phase and thus for the M.Phil. may, on the recommendation of the examiners, receive a Diploma in German Literature and Language Pedagogy.
