Edward Arnold is Lecturer in French at Trinity College Dublin, with particular reference to European Studies; he convened many of the preparatory meetings for the development of the new MPhil. Among his research interests are Twentieth Century Europe; French intellectual, political and social history; the interaction between literature, philosophy and ideology. He has studied the rise of radical right-wing politics in modern France. Among his publications:
