Offices & Labs - Network configuration
For detailed step by step instructions on how to configure your computer to connect to the standard teaching and research network in College offices and labs, simply select your operating system from the following list. If you are unsure what operating system is running on your machine please follow the instructions on how to find out what operating system is running on your computer.
Configuring dual-boot computers
A dual boot machine, one that runs two operating systems, must meet the security requirements for both operating systems in order to meet College security policy. Below are specific guidelines for computers running Windows and Linux or Mac OS X and Windows.
Windows/Linux dual boot
If your computer runs both Windows and Linux then you must fully configure both Windows and Linux as per the instructions above. IT Services will supply you with the IP address once you have completed the Windows security checks.
Mac OS X/Windows dual boot
If your computer runs both Mac OS X and Windows then you must configure both Windows and Mac OS X separately as per the instructions above.
