What is MyTrinityApps

There is a wide variety of software in the IT Services Computer Rooms on campus, as well as site licenses that allow us to offer some software to students for use on their own computers for the duration of their studies. MyTrinityApps is a service that gives easy access to a selection of the most popular academic application software for use on your own Windows laptop while you are connected to the Trinity Wi-Fi network.

Who can use this service

This service is available to all current Trinity students who use MS Windows on their laptops.

Getting started

You need to be connected to the Trinity Student Wi-Fi network to use MyTrinityApps. Just go to https://mytrinityapps.tcd.ie

You login using your Trinity Computer Account and you will be prompted to install AppsAnywhere (CloudPaging player).  To download and run any item of software using MyTrinityApps service you will need to use the  AppsAnywhere client. While you remain connected to the College Wi-Fi network you can access and run a range of software that you need for your academic studies from your own Windows laptop.

What software is available through this portal

This list will expand over the next couple of months to include other widely used applications – so do keep checking for new software releases:

  • ArcGIS 10.4.1
    • (This is a very large application and may take approximately 5 minutes to start on your pc)
  • Adobe Dreamweaver
    • (This has a limited number of licenses and once they are all in use you might have to wait until licenses are released before the software will be available to you)
  • Audacity
  • Google Chrome
  • Mathematica 10
  • Mathlab
    • (This is a large application that might take a while to launch for the first time)
  • LabVIEW and Multisim
  • Simbio Ecobeeker
  • SPSS 23
  • SPSS Amos
  • VLS Player

What Operating Systems are supported

MyTrinityApps is for use with Microsoft Windows operating systems and Windows 7 and Windows 10 have been fully tested with MyTrinityApps.  AppsAnywhere (Cloudpaging player) will require 4GB of free disk space and you will also need sufficient space on your computer for each item of software you download.
