IT Services Alerts - Change to staff mailing list and staff Active Directory group names, October 2nd

In line with the change in financial coding structure for all College areas arising from the FIS project, the College staff mailing list names and Active Directory group names will be updated on 2nd October 2013. These new names are based on the new College FIS codes.
We are advising that you familiarise yourself with the new mailing list names for your department and/or discipline. Complete instructions on staff mailing lists as well as a list of new mailing list names can be found on the IS Services website.
Active Directory group names will correspond to mailing list names. Existing share and folder permissions will automatically change, but it is good practice to double-check that no issues exist. As of 2nd October, you will need to begin using the new Active Directory group names to share files, applications, and other network shares to groups on the College network.
Please note that all old mailing lists and Active Directory group names will be phased out from 1st November.
