IT Services Alerts - Issues with TCDconnect IT security scan

As planned, on Tuesday, 9th July, students who had been connected to the TCDconnect service since before 1st April 2013 were invited to re-run the IT security scan on their Windows and Mac computers.  A small number of users encountered issues, outlined below, which we now believe to be resolved.

On the morning of Thursday, 11th July we identified an issue that students were being requested to carry out and pass the IT security scan once per day, rather than one time only, and this issue has been resolved.

On the afternoon of Thursday, 11th July we became aware of a small number of students who were successfully passing the scan but not subsequently regaining internet access.  The cause of this issue is being investigated but it should be noted that the issue has not recurred since 6pm Thursday evening.
