IT Services Alerts - Data network service instability, Thursday 27th Dec & Friday 28th Dec

IS Services were made aware of issues impacting data network dependent services which began at 3.30pm on Thursday, 27th December. Intermittent connectivity was observed from some computers on the wired network and staff WiFi network to other networked resources. These issues were investigated and root causes were identified as multiple failures in underlying supporting Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP) and Domain Name System (DNS) services. All related issues were resolved by 5.30pm on Friday, 28th December.
