IT Services Alerts - Scheduled student Wi-Fi service outage, Tuesday 15th November, 8am-8.30am

The remaining network service improvement work, postponed since Tuesday 8th November, is now scheduled to take place from 8am-8.30am on Tuesday, 15th November and will result in an outage to the student Wi-Fi service during that 30-minute period. There is a very low risk of further disruption to this service between 8.30am and 9am.
We would like to apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.

Full service has been restored to allow new registrations on the student wired network once more.

Following completion of the service improvement work on the student wired network there is an issue with registering new devices to connect to the student wired network. Work is underway to restore this aspect of the student wired service and there is no impact on devices already registered.
Due to the issue outlined above, the service improvement work on the student Wi-Fi service has been postponed will take place at a later date. Details will be posted here and circulated to all students once the information is available. The student Wi-Fi service is fully operational and was not interrupted this morning.

Scheduled network service improvement work will mean that on Tuesday, 8th November between 8am and 10am there will be a 2-hour period of interruption to student Wi-Fi and wired network services (the TCDconnect service for students).
Following this, from 10am to 11am there will be a small risk of additional disruption to these services while the improvement works are being completed. We would like to apologise in advance for any inconvenience this work may cause.
