IT Services Alerts - Resolved: Changes in network login password not being passed to Office 365

Work was completed at 8.10am meaning that any staff or students that have changed their passwords since 4.40pm yesterday, they can now use the new password to access Office 365.

Further maintenance work is required meaning that there will once again be a delay in new network login passwords taking effect in Office 365 from now (4.40pm, 9th June) until the start of business tomorrow (9am, 10th June). Staff and students who change their network login password during this period will need to access Office 365 services using the older password until the start of business tomorrow.

This issue has now been resolved and normal service has been restored meaning that staff and students who change their Trinity network login password will need to use that new password when accessing Office 365 services.

There is currently an issue where if staff or students change their network login password then this new password is not passed to Office 365 and it is necessary to login to the Office 365 service with the older password. We are actively working to resolve this and restore normal service so that network login password changes do take effect in Office 365. We would like to apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.
