IT Services Alerts - Resolved: Issue with email forwarding from Trinity staff email accounts to Gmail accounts - email being marked as Spam in Gmail

Update: Friday, 4th March 2016, 12.10pm

This issue has been resolved and we have verified that staff who have set email forwarding from their Office 365 email account to a personal Gmail account are no longer having the email delivered to the Spam folder in Gmail.  It is no longer necessary to setup Filters to ensure email is not delivered to the Spam folder in Gmail.

We have received reports from some Trinity staff who have migrated to the Office 365 service of an issue if they have set email forwarding on their Trinity staff email account to a personal Gmail account (i.e. a account, not a student MyZone account).  The issue is that email forwarded from the account to the personal Gmail account is being marked as spam in Gmail.

At present, to work around this it is necessary to create Filters in the Gmail account to 'whitelist' all email coming from and other desired addresses in order to make sure it does not go into the Spam folder.  Please click the link below for instructions on how to do this.
