IT Services Alerts - Membership of student mailing lists and network permissions groups

In order to facilitate the rollover of student data within the student information system (SITS), the membership of student mailing lists will be 'frozen' on 3rd July 2015 and not updated again until 21st September 2015, following supplemental exams. 
 
The membership of student network permissions groups, except those groups containing all undergraduates or all postgraduates, will also be frozen during this period.
 
The mailing lists may still be used in the interim, but list membership will reflect the student records for the 2014-15 academic year as they stood on 3rd July 2015.  From 21st September 2015 the membership of these lists will begin to reflect records for the 2015-16 academic year.
 
The mailing lists affected include:
  • Course mailing lists
  • Postgraduate Discipline mailing lists
  • Module mailing lists
  • Subject mailing lists
  • Route mailing lists
  • Tutor mailing lists

The following mailing lists are not affected and their membership will continue to reflect current student records:

  • Mailing list of all undergraduates
  • Mailing list of all postgraduates
