IT Services Alerts - Fraudulent email with subject 'Trinity College Shutdown Notice', August 25th

IS Services has received reports of a phishing message in circulation, as shown below.  Please ignore this email should you receive it as it is fraudulent and is a 'phishing' attempt.  The email should be deleted.  If you have replied to this email or clicked on the link contained in the email body please report to the IS Services Helpdesk at the earliest opportunity. Subject: Trinity College Shutdown Notice

Attention,
This is to notify you that the Trinity College Dublin database has been attacked by virus and immediate maintenance action is taking place now.
All systems will undergo proper wiping and to ensure that your account is not lost, we hereby instruct that you backup your account now by confirming the below information here and now.

City:
Pasword:

Failure to adhere to this instruction will lead to complete deactivation or loss of your account during this process. Please you must reply to this email immediately confirming your details mentioned above for confirmation/identification purpose. We are sorry about this, but you have to respond now.
