IT Services Alerts - RESOLVED: TCDconnect service - registration page slow to load in Safari

Please note that this issue is now resolved. If you are still experiencing difficulty, we would advise that you ensure that you don't have too many tabs open in Safari.

The issue described below has not yet been resolved and we are continuing to work with the third-party supplier to identify the underlying cause and restore the service to normal.

We have received reports from a small number of students who have found the TCDconnect registration web pages slow to load when using the Safari web browser on Mac desktops and laptops.
The issue was replicated in testing and it was found that there were no such issues using Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox web browsers. The advice at present is to use either Chrome or Firefox if attempting to register a Mac desktop or laptop for the TCDconnect service.
Work is underway to identify and resolve the issue affecting some people using the Safari web browser.
