Web Services

Registered College users with College usernames are entitled to avail of a wide range of internet and network based services. Standard services (personal filestorage, external web access, FTP, real player, newsgroups) are available to all, while other special services (web publishing, telnet, additional external access) are restricted to certain categories of users.

Listed on the menu to the left are some of the more common internet and network services available to users connected to the College network including, where appropriate, instructions on how to install, configure and use any relvant software.

Requesting Access to Additional External Internet Services

For security reasons initially it may not possible to use some internet applications which do not use standard protocols. Exceptions can be made, where technically possible. Please see our page on requesting additional external internet access.
