Paulyn is a Senior Counsel, Arbitrator, Mediator and was first Insurance Ombudsman in Ireland. President Mary McAleese appointed her as the first Ombudsman for the Irish Defence Forces in 2005. She was a founding member of the British and Irish Ombudsman Association.
