Postgraduate Research Studentships (Trinity College Dublin)

Postgraduate studentships are available to new entrants as well as continuing students on the full-time PhD register. The studentships are awarded competitively on academic merit. The postgraduate studentship fully covers fees and an annual maintenance of € 6,500 for three years. Studentship holders are required to engage in teaching, as determined by the appropriate Director of Teaching and Learning. New entrants make their application in conjunction with their PhD application. Continuing students apply directly to their Schools. Nominations take place at various times of the year. Postgraduate Ussher Fellowships (Trinity College Dublin)

Ussher Fellowships are awarded competitively on academic merit. The Fellowship fully covers fees and provides a monthly maintenance of € 13,000 for three years. The Fellowship is unrelated to teaching commitments. The application is made in conjunction with a PhD application. For further details please see Postgraduate Research Studentship page.

Irish School of Ecumenics (Trinity College Dublin)

The Irish School of Ecumenics is making available 1 P.hD./ M.Litt. scholarship worth € 2,500. In addition the Irish School of Ecumenics Trust funds 1 Ph.D./M.Litt. worth of € 3,000. For further details please contact Ms Christine Houlahan at ressec@tcd.ie.

North/South Postgraduate Scholarships (External Source)

Applications are now open for the 2016 North/South Postgraduate Scholarships.  Universities Ireland will be offering four scholarships to students who are entering the first year of a PhD programme at a university in the island of Ireland that is not in the same jurisdiction as the university where they have previously studied. Irish Research Council (External Source)

The Government of Ireland Postgraduate Scholarship Scheme offers scholarships for suitably qualified individuals to pursue a PhD (either traditional or structured) in any discipline at an eligible HEI within Ireland. Details of the scholarship and application process can be accessed on the Irish Research Council website.
