Survey Reports Launched...
Two reports, ‘21st Century Faith: Results of the Survey of Clergy, Pastors, Ministers and Faith Leaders,’ and ‘21st Century Faith: Results of the Survey of Laypeople’ were launched on October 20-21, 2009, at the Irish School of Ecumenics and Farset International in Belfast.

Papers on Irish Neutrality Launched
A series of papers titled, ‘Neutrality: Irish Experience, European Experience,’ were launched in September at the Irish School of Ecumenics. The papers were edited by Dr Iain Atack, Lecturer in Peace Studies, and Sean McCrum.

UN Trip
On July 1-2, 2009, ten students from International Peace Studies visited the United Nations Office at Geneva to attend a series of informative presentations by UN officers representing various missions of the UN.

Sastre Sanchez Published in Postgraduate Journal
Reconciliation Studies student Ruth Sastre Sanchez has had an article published in the Trinity College Dublin Journal of Postgraduate Research. The article is titled, 'Spain Before its Recent Past: Victimhood and Impunity.'

Irish School of Ecumenics’ Major Surveys on 21st Century Faith
The Irish School of Ecumenics, Trinity College Dublin, will begin two major surveys about faith in 21st century Ireland on Wednesday 15 April 2009. One survey is designed for clergy of all Christian denominations and religious faiths, while the other is designed for laypeople. Both surveys can be completed on-line."

ISE to host RTE Service on Sunday
As part of the Week of Prayer for Christian Unity, Dr. Peter Admirand of the Irish School of Ecumenics, along with staff and student members of the ISE and the Rathmines Folk Group, will organise and host the RTE broadcast Service on Sunday, which will be aired on Sunday, January 25th at 11:15 AM on RTE One. The theme will be "Communion Amidst Diversity."

Lecture series on Islamic Theology
The Irish School of Ecumenics and the School of Religions and Theology will host an eight week evening lecture series on "Encounters with Islamic Theology." Scholars in the fields of Islamic studies and the studies of Christian/Jewish relations with Islam have begun considering ways of re-appropriating the tradition of Islamic theology for modern times and in new cultural contexts. The lecture series brings to the forum distinguished international scholars who will attempt to map various experiences, concerns and prospects within the old and new encounters with Islamic theology, across different religious traditions, as well as various philosophical and dialogical settings.
